Examination name : H.P. Combined Pre-Medical entrance Test (CPMT)-2007 - MBBS, BDS Admission
Eligibility: (i): Childremn of bonafide Himachali/Himachal Govt. employees and employees of Autonomous Bodiies wholly or partially finacned by the Himachal Pradesh Govt. and have passed atleast two examinations out of four i.e. Middle, Matric, +1 & +2 or their equivalent from the recognised school(s) /College(s) situabted in the State of Himachal Pradesh only are eligible to apply for the test. However, Childerne of Defence Personnel/ EX-servicemen/Central Govt. employeees/employees of Undertaking wholly owned by the Cental Govt. including U.T. employees/Autonomous Bodies and Children of Himachal Govt. employees/employees of wholly owned H.P. Govt. Undertakings/ Autonomous Bodies, who are Bonafide Himachali living outside the State on account of thier service are exempted from the condition of passing two examinations from the School(s) suitated in the State of Himachal Pradesh. (ii) The Bonafide Himachal Students who admitted to Navodaya Schools situated in Himachal Predesh, but passesd Matric or +2 examinations under the exchange prognamme form other Navodaya Schools in the country are also eligible for competing this test. (iii) The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent qualifying examination with 50% aggregate marks taken together in Physics , Chemistry and Biology (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC) provided that the candidate have also qualified the subject of English in the above examination. (iv) Age: The candidate should have alreasy complted or should complete the age of 17 years and must not have completed 25 years of age on 31st December, 2007.
Application procedure: (i) University Counter: For prescribed application form and detailed information etc., the Prospectus can be obtained at the University sale Counter at Sumkmer Hill, Shimla-5 from 17-04-2007 to 7-05-2007 during working hours on cash payment of Rs. 1,000/- for General & other categories, Rs. 500/- for SC/ST categories only and US Dollars 40 or equivalent in REupps for NRI candidates. (ii) By Post: The requests for supply of the Prospecuts by post can only be addressed to the Deputy Registrar (Entranc Tests) H.P. University, Shimla-171005 accompanied by crossed IPOs/Bank Draft amounting to Rs. 1050/ - incase of General & Other categories, Rs. 550/- for SC/ST categories only and US Dollar 50 or equivalent in Rupees for NRIs, drawn in favour of the FINACNE OFFICER, H.P. UNIVERSITY, SHIMLA-5 No request for sending the prospectus by post will be entertained after 25-04-2007, while applying for supply of prospectus by post, the candidate must write the HP CPMT Prospecuts -2007 is required and complete mailing address in capital lettters along with telephone number be mentioned. NOTE: It will be the entire responsibility of the candidate(S) to procure the prospecuts will in tiem and submit the application complete in all respects within the stipulated date. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay or non- receipt or in case imsplacement or lost of prospectus in transit. All disputes are subject to legal jurisdiction of courts in Shimla only.
Note: The candidates who have appeared in +2 or its equvalent examination and the reult has bot ben declared can also apply for the test, but the admission will be subject the passing of the said examination with the required percentage to be shown at the time of conuselling if selected. FOR CHILDREN OF J&K MIGRANTS: Who posses the minimum qualfying qualifications and age as given above can also compete in this test against the seats reserved for them. FOR CHILDREN OF TIBTAN REFUGEES: Who posses the minimum qulifying qulaifications and age as given above and should be sponsored by he Tibten Govt. in Exile can also compete for this test against the seatreserced for them. FOR NRI CANDIDATES (i) The NRI category (i) candidates who are residing abroad and who have passed the qualifying examination form abroad and who have passed the quallifying examination form abroad and who fulfill the minimum education and age as given above are also eligible to apply on the prescribed form avaliable in the prospectus.They will bot appear in the entrance test. (ii) Those candidates who are eligible and compete in this test can only apply to complete for (ii) & (iii) categories of NRI on ht prescibed form available in the prospectus.
