CAT exam is an entrance test to get MBA and related courses into top Business - Schools in India. CAT has been rated as the most difficult MBA entrance test in the world by the Economist Intelligence 2003 Survey Over the year many other institutes also accept this CAT score for their admission processes. Actually there is growing momentum to make CAT as a single entrance exam for all business schools in India. Also effort is undergoing to get world accreditation for CAT. The Common Admission Test (CAT) to the six IIMs is also the entrance test for few other top B-Schools such as SP Jain, MICA, and T A Pai. CAT tests your skills in five broad areas viz.

CAT 2006 The Detailed Analysis:
This year, we saw an extremely malnourished Common Admission Test (just 75 questions as against 90 last year). As expected, CAT 2006 threw up surprises. These were the prominent ones:
1. There were five options instead of the customary four, making it similar to GRE/ GMAT.
2. Every single question in VA was inferential, with the options being extremely close. One felt the necessity of an electron microscope to discriminate amongst them.
3. Grammar, the eternal favourite, was nowhere in sight. Para jumbles, where art thou?
4. Quant, surprisingly, failed to intimidate. It was like vanilla ice cream with hot
