AFMC-Armed Forces Medical College
The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, was established in 1948. A graduate wing for MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) course was started in AFMC (Armed Forces Medical College) Pune India in 1962 with the aim of inducting medical graduates to the Armed Forces Medical Services. The graduate wing of AFMC is affiliated to University of Pune and recognised by Medical Council of India.

MBBS Courses
AFMC (Armed Forces Medical College), Pune offers admission to MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) course are on the basis of an objective type written examination conducted across India. This is followed by an interview and then after the final selection candidates are admitted into AFMC Pune campus for medical training in general medicine and general surgery. The duration of the course is 4½ years. The college is fully residential both for boys and girls.
Reservation of seats
(i) The candidates who are sons/ daughters/ widows of armed forces personnel including para military personnel killed in action from 1947-48 onwards.
(ii) The candidates who are sons/ daughters/ wives of armed forces personnel including para military personnel disabled in action and boarded out from service.
(iii) The candidates who are sons/ daughters/ widows of armed forces personnel including para military personnel who died while in service with death attributable to military/ para military service.
(iv)The candidates who are sons/ daughters/ wives of armed forces personnel including para military personnel disabled in peace time and boarded out from service with disability
PRE-MEDICAL/PHARMACY/NURSING TEST (PMT) for admission to MBBS/BDS B.Pharm/B.Sc. (Nursing) courses is conducted by Professional Examination Board, Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal at the following College: MBBS Gajra Raja Medical College, Gwalior; Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal; Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur; MGM Medical College, Indore; Pt Jawaharlal Nahru Memorial Medical College, Raipur, Shyam Shah Medical College, Rewa. BDS College of Dentistry, Indore.
Government of India, nominees is exempted from appearing into this test.

Reservation
Reservation in seats is available in Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) and Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology (NSIT) New Delhi.
15% seats for Scheduled Castes and 7.5% seats reserved for Scheduled Tribes.
5% seats for Children / Widows of Personnel of Armed / Para Military Forces Killed / disabled (CW) in action during hostilities.
3% seats for Physically Handicapped (1% for persons with low vision or blindness, 1% for hearing impaired, 1% for those with loco motor disabilities and / or cerebral palsy.)

Information Regarding Admission
Admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS (Ayurvedacharya) course in the State medical/dental/ayurvedic colleges and Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana are made through an entrance exam (PMT) conducted by one of the State universities.
Admission to MBBS in Chandigarh Medical College, Chandigarh (Total 50 seats) is made through CET conducted by Punjab University, held at Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Chicago USA( for NRI candidates).
Christian Medical College, Ludhiana is regulated by separate rules. Selection is through pre-entrance test conducted by the college. PMT is open to candidates from Punjab, Central Government nominees and November 1984 riot affected displaced persons are considered exceptions.

A candidate willing to write UPSEE has to fulfill any one of the following mentioned domicile requirement. These requirement and restrictions are in accordance with the Gazette of Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, India Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution / school / college located within the state of Uttar Pradesh and who do not claim any sort of reservation.
