AFMC : MBBS Courses

MBBS Courses AFMC (Armed Forces Medical College), Pune offers admission to MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) course are on the basis of an objective type written examination conducted across India. This is followed by an interview and then after the final selection candidates are admitted into AFMC Pune campus for medical training in general medicine and general surgery. The duration of the course is 4½ years. The college is fully residential both for boys and girls.

AFMC : Examination Pattern

Examination Pattern Generally, written test for MBBS courses of AFMC consists of the following pattern  Part Subjects Total Marks I Biology(Botany and Zoology) 50 II Physics 50 III Chemistry 50 IV a) Intelligence, logic and reasoning 25     b) English language and Comprehension 25 Each part comprises of 50 questions of one mark each. For each correct answer 1 mark is awarded. For each wrong answer 0.25 marks is deducted. Use of calculator is not permitted in the examination.

AFMC : Eligibility

Eligibility All the candidates willing to take admission in AFMC MBBS course should be medically fit as per laid down standards. Only unmarried candidates are eligible. Marriage during the course is not permitted. Age : Must be 17 years of age but must not have attained the age of 22 years, if the academic qualification of the candidate is 10+2 or equivalent. A student who has passed B.Sc. examination or will be appearing in final B.Sc. examination and seeking admission must not have attained the age of 24 years.
