AIPMT-All India Pre-Medical Test
All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT) is a national level entrance examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) . The admission for 15% of the total seats for medical/dental bachelor degree courses in medical colleges run by Union of India, state government, municipal and other local authorities in India except the state of Jammu & Kashmir is made on the basis of AIPMT merit list.
As per the revised scheme, the AIPMT examination is conducted in two stages :
Preliminary Examination and Final Examination .
Final Examination is only for those candidates who has found place
All India Pre-Medical/Dental Test (AIPMT) is an annual entrance exam conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) for admission to 15% seats in Medical and Dental Colleges run by Union Government, State Governments, Municipal authorities in India(except for Jammu & Kashmir and Andhra Pradesh) for Medical and Dental Bachelor courses.
AIPMT 2010 MBBS/BDS Exam Eligibility:
A candidate should be between 17-25 years of age as on December 31st, 2010. There is a relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC candidate. A candidate can only appear for AIPMT for a maximum of three times.

CBSE conducts the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Preliminary Entrance Examination every year on 1st Sunday of April. In the year 2010, the first Sunday falls on 4th April, 2010 which is EASTER SUNDAY. Accordingly, Board decided to fix the date of Preliminary Stage Examination on 11th April, 2010 (Second Sunday).

All-India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination 2010. This entrance examination is being conducted exclusively for the 15% merit positions for the Medical/Dental Colleges of India as specified in the directive of the court and will be governed by the rules and regulations specified for the same by the Government of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare from time to time.

The eligibility of candidates for appearing in CBSE – AIPMT is as follows:
Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian national.
Age: The candidate must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or should complete the same on or before December 31st of the year of admission.
Students belonging to the States of Andhra Pradesh / J & K are not eligible. For details – refer detailed Information Bulletin of CBSE for AIPMT.
Educational Qualifications: Candidates with Higher/Sr. Secondary Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Sr. Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of
Examination Pattern
The entrance examination for CBSE-AIPMT consists of two parts – Preliminary Examination and Final Examination.
Preliminary Examination : The Preliminary Examination consists of one paper of 3 hours duration containing 200 objective type questions
Final Examination : (Only for those who qualify in the Preliminary Examination)
The Final Examination would consist of two papers each of 2 hours duration.
Paper-1 would contain questions from Physics and Chemistry and
Paper-2 would contain questions from Biology (Botany & Zoology).
The Final Examination will have conventional (non-objective) questions to be answered in the Test Booklet supplied.

Application
Application forms and Information Booklet of MBA / MCA CET for the admission of students under Management Quota to MBA / MCA courses will be made through all member colleges of the TNSF-Consortium (Refer website: tnsfconsortium.org for the list of member colleges). The candidates should submit the filled in application form along with the examination fees (as detailed in the information booklet) and enclosures on or before the prescribed date.
Combined Entrance Examination for Admission to MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS & Engineering Courses in Assam for the academic year 2009-10 The Directorate of Technical Education, Assam conducts Common Entrance Examination (CEE) for admission into 4-year B. E. programme in various faculties of engineering in different engineering colleges of the state. There are two government engineering colleges in Assam. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has been constituted by the Government of Bihar in accordance with the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Act 1995. The Board also conducts Post Graduate Medical Admission Test (PGMAT) for admission in Post Graduate Medical Course in Medical Colleges of the State of Bihar.

Health Science Courses
Government of Maharashtra conducts a single stage Combined Common Entrance Test for selection to all degree courses in Health Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, BVSc.& AH and Engineering courses under Govt./ Corporation /Govt. Aided Colleges and Govt. Quota in Private colleges. The entrance test is called Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET).
The Competent Authority for the conduct of MHT-CET (Maharashtra Combined Common Entrance Test) examination is Director, Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai, Maharashtra.
However, for the selection process there are two separate Competent Authorities. Director, Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai is the Competent Authority for selection to Health Science courses.

The test is open to all categories of students throughout the country and is conducted at various centers in Karnataka. The Association is conducting K-MAT Common Entrance Test for facilitating admission into MBA and MCA Programs offered by affiliated colleges of various Universities in Karnataka under management quota.
