AIPMT-All India Pre-Medical Test All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT) is a national level entrance examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) . The admission for 15% of the total seats for medical/dental bachelor degree courses in medical colleges run by Union of India, state government, municipal and other local authorities in India except the state of Jammu & Kashmir is made on the basis of AIPMT merit list. All India Pre-Medical/Dental Test (AIPMT) is an annual entrance exam conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) for admission to 15% seats in Medical and Dental Colleges run by Union Government, State Governments, Municipal authorities in India(except for Jammu & Kashmir and Andhra Pradesh) for Medical and Dental Bachelor courses. AIPMT 2010 MBBS/BDS Exam Eligibility: A candidate should be between 17-25 years of age as on December 31st, 2010. There is a relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC candidate. Examination Pattern The entrance examination for CBSE-AIPMT consists of two parts – Preliminary Examination and Final Examination. Preliminary Examination : The Preliminary Examination consists of one paper of 3 hours duration containing 200 objective type questions Final Examination : (Only for those who qualify in the Preliminary Examination) The Final Examination would consist of two papers each of 2 hours duration. Paper-1 would contain questions from Physics and Chemistry and Paper-2 would contain questions from Biology (Botany & Zoology).
