Architecture Aptitude Test
(For B. Arch. Candidates Only)

Geometrical : Exercises in geometrical drawing comprising lines, angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons and circles, etc. Study of Plan, Elevation of Simple Solid objects like Cylinders, Cones, Cubes and Prisms etc. Letter Printing.

Memory and Imagination : Free hand sketching of scenes and activities from rural and urban life commonly observed, such as, markets, festivals and bathing ghats, fetes, playgrounds etc. from memory.

Creativity : Designing of posters, Floral patterns Flower vases, candle stand, paper weight, chairs tables, table lamp, tumblers, efinit, boundary wall, gate, Foundation, grill, projection of windows, entrance gate, Automobiles, wall clock frame, crockery etc.

Dimensional Perception : Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms and elements of colour, texture and surface treatment.

General Architectural Aptitude : Famous buildings, Artists and Architects, Role of Architects, efinition and importance of Architecture, Types of pencils, drawing sheet papers, common Indian plants, Trees and Flowers.

UP-CPMT : Examination Pattern

Examination Pattern Selection is on merit in CPMT in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology carrying 300 marks in each paper and is of 2-1/2 hours duration each. The questions are of objective type and the standard is of Intermediate. There's an additional paper of Hindi. However, marks secured in this paper are not added in Merit List. Candidates are required to obtain 50% (40% for SC/ST) marks in Science subject and 35% marks in Hindi/English to qualify the Test.

AIMT : Syllabus

Syllabus The syllabus for Common Entrance Test is as per the 10 + 2 examination of CBSE pattern. Each MCQ consists of a stem and four responses, labelled A, B, C and D. Only one of the responses is correct and for each correct response the candidate will be awarded three marks and for each incorrect response one mark will be deducted from the total score.

IIT - GATE : Pattern of Examination

Pattern of Examination GATE entrance examination is single paper of 3 hours duration and of 150 marks. The question paper is in English only. Before applying for GATE entrance examination, a candidates must assure that he/she has chosen the right optional subject, which enables him/her to become eligible to seek admission to the programme of interest. The criteria for postgraduate admission with scholarship/assistantship are different in various Institutes. GATE Offices are not in a position to provide any information in this regard.
