Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) – Part Time Annamalai University Annamalai University offers seven semesters part – time degree program in engineering into its various engineering departments. The university conducts an entrance examination for admission into these courses. The degree awarded after successful completion of the program is Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.). The admission is restricted to those working or residing within a radius of 75 Km from Annamalainagar. The application should be sent through the applicants’ employer. B.E. (Evening / Part Time) Entrance Test, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) conducts an all India entrance examination for admission into B.E. evening programs. The program is offered by Faculty of Engineering and Technology / Dr. Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology – Aligarh Muslim University in different disciplines. The candidates having a Diploma in Engineering and those who are working in the concerned engineering departments are only eligible to apply for B. E. ( Evening ) Programme. Selection Procedure Aligarh Muslim University conducts a competitive written test for admission to B.E. (Evening) program. The candidates are selected on the basis of performance in the written test, qualifying examination and professional experience. Centre of Examination The center of examination for B.E. (Evening) program is Aligarh only.

Eligibility Eligibility criteria for B.E. part time program Residency Status The admission is restricted to those candidates only, who are working or residing within a radius of 75 Km from Annamalainagar. Educational Qualification A pass in a Engineering Diploma course in any of the appropriate branch i.e. Civil / Civil and Structural / Mechanical / Instrumentation / Chemical Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education of Tamil Nadu or its equivalent examination with 3 years professional experience in a recognised industry or organisation after the Diploma Examination. Seat Allocation The total available seats for full time B.E. degree program are 706 at present. The seat distribution is as follows:- Category - I Open Competition 31% Backward Class 30% Most Backward Class 20% Scheduled Caste 18% Scheduled Tribe 1% Among the above reservations, 3% seats have been included for disabled persons laid down by the Government. Category – II Twenty one seats are reserved on the request of the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resources Development (Department of Education) for Foreign students, Students from Indian States and Union Territories lacking facilities, and Sons and wards of India-based staff posted abroad etc. Two seats are reserved for sons and daughters of defence personnel
