Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka -(COMEDK PGET) PGET-Post Graduate entrance Test PGET (Post Graduate entrance Test) is conducted by COMEDK every year for admission in various post graduate medical course in Karnataka Medical and Dental Colleges. Pattern of PGET Entrance Test PGET consists of only one test for all Medical and Dental Courses respectively. The test contains 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be answered in 180 minutes.

Eligibility Requirements Eligibility requirements for taking admission into post graduate degree and diploma courses of COMEDK institutions is MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) / BDS (Bachelor of Dental Sciences) from an institute recognised by MCI (Medical Council of India) / DCI (Dental Council of India) Applicants must meet all the requirements stipulated by MCI / DCI. Accordingly, they should have successfully passed their M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. from an institute recognised by MCI / DCI, and must have completed / completing their internship by April of the year of entrance examination.

Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka -(COMEDK UGET) The consortium is a unit established by the Karnataka Private Medical / Dental Colleges Association. Only those colleges which are affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and recognised by the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India are eligible for the membership of COMEDK. The consortium will conduct the Common Entrance Test on behalf of management who are its members for admission to professional courses. Seats Availability The Government of Karnataka is yet to pass any order prescribing the percentage of seats to be filled by the management. The A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, admits students belonging to the following two categories, under the Management seats: 1.Minority 2. NRI/ Foreign nationals 3. General As of now, the college can admit upto 50% of its total intake under these categories. The college awaits the decision of the Supreme Court of India with regard to the seat sharing ratio between the Management and the Government and also with regard to certain conditions which maybe stipulated for NRI / General category admissions.
