Health Science Courses

Government of Maharashtra conducts a single stage Combined Common Entrance Test for selection to all degree courses in Health Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, BVSc.& AH and Engineering courses under Govt./ Corporation /Govt. Aided Colleges and Govt. Quota in Private colleges. The entrance test is called Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET).

The Competent Authority for the conduct of MHT-CET (Maharashtra Combined Common Entrance Test) examination is Director, Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai, Maharashtra.

However, for the selection process there are two separate Competent Authorities. Director, Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai is the Competent Authority for selection to Health Science courses.

And Director, Technical Education (DTE), Mumbai, Maharashtra is the Competent Authority for selection to Engineering and Pharmacy courses.

Health Science Courses

The entrance examination for selection to all Health Science Courses in state of Maharashtra is done by Directorate of Medical Education and research (DMER) Maharashtra. The entrance examination is called as Maharashtra – Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET). The MHT-CET entrance examination is held for the vacant seats at all Government/Corporation and Government aided Health Science institutions. The entrance examination is applicable to government quota seats in private colleges and to the remaining seats in private colleges, if their management so desires.

Registrar, Maharashtra Animal & Fishery Science University (MAFSU), Nagpur, is the Competent Authority for selection to Veterinary colleges, notify the details of selection process separately.

The merit list of MHT–CET is also used for selection to B.Sc. Nursing courses.

    I have scored 128 marks in PCB of MH-CET. Can I get admission nfor BVSc & A.H. course?

    i have got 133 marks in mhtcet and my rank is 6656.i fall in open category.can i get admiission in mbbs.

The admission is made on the basis of PGDCET conducted by D.M.E.R., Mumbai, Maharashtra.

DMER-Mumbai : PGM-CET

PGM-CET Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai conducts an entrance examination for admission to MD/MS/Diploma courses. The examination is called PGM-CET and the procedure is called “Procedure for selection and admission to medical postgraduate courses at the State Government Medical Colleges / Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Medical Colleges / Tata Memorial Hospital and Bombay Hospital, Mumbai”.
