Dental Postgraduate Courses (MDS)
Dirtectorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai, Maharashtra conducts an entrance examination for admission in various post graduate dental streams offered by Dental Colleges in Maharashtra. The admission is made on the basis of PGDCET conducted by D.M.E.R., Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) Mumbai Maharashtra supervises the Medical Education i.e. Under Graduate , Post Graduate and Super Specialisation. It also co-ordinates the Research activities in Fundamental Research , Applied Research & Operational Research in the Institutions under its control and through Out-reach Services. PGM-CET Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai conducts an entrance examination for admission to MD/MS/Diploma courses. The examination is called PGM-CET and the procedure is called “Procedure for selection and admission to medical postgraduate courses at the State Government Medical Colleges / Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Medical Colleges / Tata Memorial Hospital and Bombay Hospital, Mumbai”.
MHT-CET Health Science Courses Government of Maharashtra conducts a single stage Combined Common Entrance Test for selection to all degree courses in Health Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, BVSc.& AH and Engineering courses under Govt./ Corporation /Govt. Aided Colleges and Govt. Quota in Private colleges. The entrance test is called Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET). The Competent Authority for the conduct of MHT-CET (Maharashtra Combined Common Entrance Test) examination is Director, Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai, Maharashtra. However, for the selection process there are two separate Competent Authorities.
