Health Science Courses
Government of Maharashtra conducts a single stage Combined Common Entrance Test for selection to all degree courses in Health Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, BVSc.& AH and Engineering courses under Govt./ Corporation /Govt. Aided Colleges and Govt. Quota in Private colleges. The entrance test is called Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET).
The Competent Authority for the conduct of MHT-CET (Maharashtra Combined Common Entrance Test) examination is Director, Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai, Maharashtra.
However, for the selection process there are two separate Competent Authorities. Director, Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai is the Competent Authority for selection to Health Science courses.

Government of Maharashtra has been conducting superspeciality entrance examination (MH-SSET) since 1990. Maharashtra Superspeciality Entrance test is conducted for the students who aspire to take admission in post graduate medical courses like DM/MCh.
