Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) All India Competitive Examination
All India Competitive Examination (AICE) for admission to Under Graduate (UG) courses and award of National Talent Scholarship is conducted by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. 15% of the total number of seats in 41 Agricultural Universities in 10 different subjects of undergraduate programme and 100% of the seats at National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal (Haryana) in Dairy Technology are filled through ICAR’s All India Competitive Examination (AICE). There is no criterion for direct nomination of any candidate for admission in any Under Graduate degree programme.

Examination Pattern
Scheme / Pattern of All India Competitive Examination
All India Competitive Examination (AICE) of ICAR consists of only one question paper consisting Objective type questions. The question paper is bilingual i.e. English and Hindi.
For stream A, the subjects composition is Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Agriculture.
For stream B, the subjects combination is Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
A candidate can choose any of the stream depending upon his / her subject of choice and eligibility.
Eligibility
Age
A candidate must be atleast 17 years of age but not more than 23 years on or before 31st December of the year of examination.
Relaxation in age is NOT available for any of the category.
Educational Qualification
The candidate must have passed and obtained not less than 50% (for General and UPS Categories) and 40% marks (for SC, ST, and PH categories) in 10+2 examination. Any candidate having compartment/ supplementary in any subject in the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 is not eligible for admission. National Talent Scholarship
National Talent Scholarship of Rs. 1000/- per month is awarded to all those candidates who takes admission in any of the 41 in institutions on the basis ICAR’s All
India Competitive Examination. The purpose of award of scholarship is the promotion of agricultural education in the country.
Tentative Schedule
The Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is generally held in the month of January. The examination is of three hours duration.
