   May i know what is the percentage required to apply the GATE exam.

Application You may apply online by visiting concern institute’s website. You could also obtain the brochure and application form from the GATE offices of the zone in which you select your test centre on payment of the prescribed amount by demand draft drawn in favour of the concerned institute. You could also obtain the brochure and application form by post, by sending a request to the Chairman, GATE, at any of the IITs and IISc. Your request must be accompanied by two self-addressed slips and a demand draft of the specified amount drawn in favour of the concerned Institute. Note: Applications should be submitted to

Application Form CEED application form cum brochure is issued by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay (i.e. GATE office, UT Bombay). Aspiring candidates can get application form either in person or by post on submission of requisite amount of application fee. For exact dates of availability of CEED application material etc, please see our Notification section.

Pattern of Examination GATE entrance examination is single paper of 3 hours duration and of 150 marks. The question paper is in English only. Before applying for GATE entrance examination, a candidates must assure that he/she has chosen the right optional subject, which enables him/her to become eligible to seek admission to the programme of interest. The criteria for postgraduate admission with scholarship/assistantship are different in various Institutes. GATE Offices are not in a position to provide any information in this regard. The choice of the paper is the responsibility of the candidate.
