IIT-JAM : Eligibility

Eligibility for Courses

Eligibility for different courses offered at different IITs through JAM test is mentioned below.

M.Sc. Biotechnology

A Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Science / Agriculture / Pharmacy / Veterinary / Engineering / Medicine ( MBBS )

M.Sc. Chemistry

Bachelor’s degree with Chemistry as a subject for three years / six semesters and Mathematics at (10+2) level.

M.Sc. Applied Geology / M.Sc. Geological Sciences / M. Tech. Applied Geology

Bachelor’s degree with Geology as a subject for three years / six semesters and any two of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biological Science as subjects. The candidate must have Mathematics at (10+2) level.

M.Sc. Geophysics

Bachelors degree with any two of Physics, Mathematics and Geology for at least two years / four semesters and the third one for at least one year / two semesters.

M.Sc. Applied Geophysics / M.Tech. Applied Geophysics

Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics and Physics as
subjects and any one of the following subjects:
Chemistry, Geology, Statistics, Electronics, and Computer Science.

M.Sc. Mathematics / M.Sc. Applied Mathematics / M.Sc. Industrial Mathematics & Informatics

Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics as a subject for at least two years /f our semesters.

M.Sc. Physics / M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree Programme in Physics

Bachelor’s degree with Physics as a subject for three years / six semesters and Mathematics for at least two years / four semesters.

M.Sc. Applied Statistics & Informatics / M.Sc. Statistics & Informatics / M.Sc. Statistics / M.Sc. Mathematics & Computing

Bachelor’s degree with either Mathematics or Statistics as a subject for at least two years / four semesters.

Master of Computer Application ( MCA )

Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics as a subject for at least one year for annual system candidates / at least two papers of Mathematics for semester system candidates.

Eligibility for admission

JAM test qualified candidates shall have to fulfill the eligibility criteria of the respective IIT in which a candidate seeks admission, as mentioned below.

IIT Bombay / IIT Madras - A pass in Bachelor’s degree of at least three years duration.

IIT Delhi - First Division in Bachelors degree (5% relaxation for SC / ST / PH candidates)

IIT Guwahati - A first class or minimum 55% marks or CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale for General category candidates (50% marks or CGPA of 5.5 on a 10 point scale for SC / ST candidates) in the qualifying degree or equivalent.

IIT Kanpur - At least 55% aggregate marks or equivalent for General category candidates (50% marks or equivalent for SC / ST candidates) at the qualifying degree.

IIT Kharagpur - A pass in 10+2+3 degree or its equivalent.

IIT Roorkee - At least 60% aggregate marks or CGPA of 6.75 on a 10-point scale for General category candidates (55% marks or 6.25 CGPA for SC / ST candidates) in the qualifying degree.

Candidates appearing in the final examination of the qualifying degree are also eligible to appear in JAM in a given year.

Reservation

Seat reservation is also available at different IITs for various M.Sc. and Post B.Sc. programmes offered on the basis of JAM test. Category wise seat reservation is mentioned below.

Scheduled Caste (SC) 5 % in every course
Scheduled Tribe (ST) 7.5 % in every course
Physically Handicapped (PH) (including leprosy-cured) 3 % in every course over and above the sanctioned strength

MH-ENG-ASSO-CET : Eligibility

Eligibility Eligibility for MH – ENG – ASSO – CET A candidate should have passed / appeared in the HSC ( std. 12th ) examination from Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Admission to Bio-Medical / Bio-Tech Engg. Courses Candidates seeking admission to Biomedical / Bio-Tech Engineering course should have passed in the subject of Biology in the qualifying examination in addition to fulfilling the above mentioned eligibility criteria.

BIMT : Eligibility

Eligibility For getting admission into any program in BIMTECH, the minimum qualification required is a graduate degree.

MAT : Eligibility

Eligibility Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. Students who are in their Final year degree course can also apply.

TANCET : Eligibility

Eligibility Graduate degree in any discipline from any recognized university.

XAT : Eligibility

Eligibility A three-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as eligible for Post-Graduate studies in Management.

UP-SEE : Eligibility

Eligibility UP-SEE Exam is open to the candidates who qualify the eligibility conditions as outlined hereunder: Domicile Restriction: This admission test is open only to the candidates who and/or whose parents are domicile of U.P. SPJIMR : Eligibility

ATMA : Eligibility

Eligibility Bachelors degree in any discipline. Students those who are appearing in their final year examinations of bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply.

NMIMS-MBA Tech. : Eligibility

Eligibility Educational Qualification : 10 + 2 examination or equivalent with Science or Science vocational with minimum 50% marks.

KMAT : Eligibility

Eligibility Candidate with any Bachelors Degree of minimum 3 years duration after 10+2 stream, in any discipline from any recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all subjects; including languages are eligible to apply for K-MAT.

COMEDK-PGET : Eligibility Requirements

Eligibility Requirements Eligibility requirements for taking admission into post graduate degree and diploma courses of COMEDK institutions is MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) / BDS (Bachelor of Dental Sciences) from an institute recognised by MCI (Medical Council of India) / DCI (Dental Council of India) Applicants must meet all the requirements stipulated by MCI / DCI. Accordingly, they should have successfully passed their M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. from an institute recognised by MCI / DCI, and must have completed / completing their internship by April of the year of entrance examination.

AU-BE PartTime : Eligibility
