What is the new eligibilty criteria for 2010 JEE? I heard that they’ve increased 12th Board Exams required marks to 85%. Is this true?

I am studying in inter 1st year (branch :MEC) .
I want to write a IIT exam, as i want to become IAS officer in future.
My question:
Can i write IIT exam now and i want exam details and exam fee and all the information regarding the exam ,and tell me when can i take that test ?

I have read in a local news paper that from this year ( 2009) 70% marks in PCM is required to apper in iit jee 2009 entrance test. pl let me know the actual information regurding the same. if it is correct the student who is preparing the examination from last two year will suffer .

Havimg been reviewed from past result of entrance test result of iit jee pl. let me know that if a student have passed 10+2 with below 70% marks he may/may not qualify the iit jee entrance examination 2009?

my brother has secured only 55% marks in 10+2 and he is trying for improvement test.
Will he be considered as an illigible for iit if he swcures 60% marks?

i hav completed my 10+2 exam in year 2004 with PHY-CHEM-BIO. now this year i m planning to write 10+2 exam conducted by the National Open School with 1 additional subject - MATH.
will i be eligible to write IIT exam (it will be my first attempt),please make me clear over that as soon as possible !

if a person has attempted in iit 2008 as an appearing student but he hasn’t able to clear his board exam this time.
now he is giving his 10+2 exam next year(2009).then he will get the next two chance(in 2009 & 2010)or just a single more chance
