Eligibility
Age limit
There is no limit of age for taking admission into any of the branch of engineering.
Educational Qualification
Engineering & Technology - Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination or equivalent, with Physics and Mathematics alongwith one of the following subjects : Chemistry / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Biology.
Architecture :
Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination with Mathematics and one of the following subjects: Physics / Chemistry / Engineering Drawing / Computer Science / Biology with minimum 50% marks.
OR
Pass in Diploma in Architecture conducted by State Council of Technical Education & Vocational Training, Orissa or equivalent with minimum 60% marks.
Such candidates should also have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, English and Mathematics with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for availing the specified reservation.
OR
The entry level qualification which provides for admission of candidates possessing qualification equivalent to 10+2, shall also cover 3-Years diploma (10+3) recognized by Central / State Government provided the candidate passed the diploma examination with 50% marks in aggregate.

Admissions to Management Degree Courses offered through various Institutes in the state of Orissa are done through a Central Counseling conducted by BPUT.
Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela has been established by an Act of the Assembly, Government of Orissa in June 2002. Today, the University has 110 colleges, both constituent and affiliated, with around 58,000 students. All Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture and most of the colleges are offering MCA and MBA

Orissa State Candidates (S- Category)
For admission to colleges under state category one has to satisfy at least one of the following three criteria. However, for lateral entry for diploma holders, the parents of the candidate must be permanent resident of Orissa.
The candidate must have passed / appeared in 10+2 Science examination from any of the recognized institution in the State.
Parents of the candidate must be permanent resident of Orissa.
Sons/ daughters / spouse of the permanent employees of Government of Orissa / Govt. of India / Govt. of Orissa undertakings / Govt. of India undertakings serving in the State of Orissa

1. My daughter has scored the Rank : 13000 in JEEORISSA as an OTHER STATE CANDIDATE.She is intrested to study in Rourkela . Is there any possibility to get admission in PADMANAVA ENGINEERING COLLEGE or, PURUSOTTAM INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLGY ?
What will be the councilling Date for the Engineering Admission ?
2. MY SECOND DAUGHTER HAS SECURED 140 RANK IN JEE ORISSA (MEDICAL Entrance ). What will be councilling Date & where she can get admission with this Rank as an out state candidate ?
