Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)Orissa Joint entrance examination (JEE) Orissa is conducted by the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) Orissa. Students of Higher Secondary with adequate qualification and diploma holders in engineering take this examination to earn bachelor degree in various applied sciences disciplines. Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela has been established by an Act of the Assembly, Government of Orissa in June 2002. Almost all the colleges across Orissa offering Engineering / Architecture programs are either the constituent of the BPUT University or affiliated with. Category Orissa State Candidates (S- Category) For admission to colleges under state category one has to satisfy at least one of the following three criteria. However, for lateral entry for diploma holders, the parents of the candidate must be permanent resident of Orissa. The candidate must have passed / appeared in 10+2 Science examination from any of the recognized institution in the State. Parents of the candidate must be permanent resident of Orissa. Sons/ daughters / spouse of the permanent employees of Government of Orissa / Govt. of India / Govt. of Orissa undertakings / Govt. of India undertakings serving in the State of Orissa
Orissa Management Aptitude Test – OMAT OMAT is literally stands for Orissa Management Aptitude Test. It is a state level Test, conducted by Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Orissa. Admissions to Management Degree Courses offered through various Institutes in the state of Orissa are done through a Central Counseling conducted by BPUT. Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela has been established by an Act of the Assembly, Government of Orissa in June 2002. Today, the University has 110 colleges, both constituent and affiliated, with around 58,000 students. All Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture and most of the colleges are offering MCA and MBA
