Karnataka Common Entrance Test - CETThe Karnataka Common Entrance Test and Aptitude Test is being conducted for the purpose of determining the eligibility / merit, for admission of Karnataka candidates to the First year or First semester of full time courses in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy, Naturopathy and Yoga, Engineering, Technology and Architecture courses, in institutions within the State of Karnataka.The Karnataka Common Entrance Test and Aptitude Test is being conducted for the purpose of determining the eligibility / merit, for admission of Karnataka candidates to the First year or First semester of full time courses in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology and Architecture courses, in institutions within the State of Karnataka.Admissions to the Government seats shall be made in accordance with the Karnataka Selection of Candidates for Admission to Professional Institutions Rules, (in short ‘Rules’) as amended from time to time. In case of any discrepancy, the Rules shall prevail.

The candidates from outside Karnataka can also write the Common Entrance Test. However, the seats in Government / University / Aided courses in aided colleges will not be offered to such candidates. As regards seats in un-aided colleges, the details of seats available, if any, and the procedure of allotment, if seats are available, will be notified subsequently and will be subject to the above condition.

    My daughter is studying in 2nd PUC in bangalore but she did her high schooling in Tamilnadu. I want to know whether she will be eligible to write the CET Exam in Bangalore or not. We have got the info, if parents have done their education in Bangalore, they can write it here. Is it true? Please let me know or is there any way to write CET in Bangalore.

  19. for all those who have not studied for 7 years in karnataka, you cannot write karnataka cet, though there is another entrance called the COMEDK for ppl from outside karnataka.

AIMT : Pattern of Entrance Examination

Pattern of Entrance Examination Common Entrance Test: All candidates willing to take admission in any of the medical stream of AIMS including NRIs/PIOs have to appear for the Common Entrance Test, conducted by the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham for admission. Application Form Candidates who have studied or studying their 2nd PUC or 12th standard in educational institutions within Karnataka should get their brochure with application forms by submitting a demand draft of the requisite amount to the Principals of the institutions in which they had studied or studying or appeared for the 2nd PUC or 12th standard examination. The Principals of all the Schools and Colleges in Karnataka teaching 2nd PUC or 12th standard including CBSE & CISCE syllabi have been requested to collect the filled application forms and forward the same to the CET Cell both from freshers & repeater students.

Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka -(COMEDK UGET) The consortium is a unit established by the Karnataka Private Medical / Dental Colleges Association. Only those colleges which are affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and recognised by the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India are eligible for the membership of COMEDK. The consortium will conduct the Common Entrance Test on behalf of management who are its members for admission to professional courses. NIT MCA Common Entrance Test-NIMCET

NIT MCA Common Entrance Test-NIMCET The NIMCET is a National Level Entrance Test conducted by National Institute of Technologies - NITs for admission to Master of Computer Application - MCA course offered at different NITs. The duration of course is 6 semesters / 3 years. The first common admission test NIMCET-05 was conducted in 2005. About 13,000 candidates appeared for NIMCET-05 for 420 seats available in NITs. CET- Karnataka : Examination Centres

Examination Centres Assignment Of Exam Centres Candidates who have studied the qualifying examination within Karnataka should write Common Entrance Test (CET) in a test centre within the district in which the candidate studied 2nd PUC or 12th standard. If the CET test centres are located in more than one place in a district, the candidate can choose one of the places. If there is more than one test centre in a place, then the decision to assign the test centre will rest with the CET Cell and the CET Cell decides on random basis the test centre of a candidate.
