DUMET : Application Procedure

Application Procedure

The application form along with Bulletin of Information is obtainable from the office of the Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Medical Sciences, 6th Floor, V. P. Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007, against a Bank Draft/ Banker’s Cheque drawn on any Nationalised Bank in favour of ‘Registrar, University of Delhi’ payable at Delhi, in the following manner:

(i) By hand for Rs. 550.00 (Rupees Five Hundred Fifty only) between 10:00 A.M. to 01:00 P.M. on all working days from 7th March 2005 to 8th April 2005.

(ii) By Post for Rs. 600.00 (Rupees Six hundred only) along with a self addressed envelope of 10” x 8” upto 24th March 2005.

The application form along with BOI can also be obtained, by hand only, from Lady Harding Medical College, Maulana Azad Medical College and University College of Medical Sciences.

Applications duly filled in and complete in all respect should reach to the Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Medical Sciences, 6th Floor, V. P. Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 on or before the last date.

Notes:
1. The candidate should mention his/ her name and address at the back of the Bank Draft/ Banker’s Cheque. The candidates are advised to retain a photocopy of the Bank Draft/ Banker’s Cheque.

2. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.

DUMET : Eligibility

Eligibility

Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system with required subjects, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognised school conducting regular classes and situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The candidates must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST category) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The candidates must have studied 11th and 12th classes regularly from a recognised school situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Female candidates belonging to Schedule Caste (SC)/Schedule Tribe (ST)/Children, Widows & Wives of Armed & Para Military Personnel (CWWAPP) category who have passed qualifying examination from Indian Boards/Universities or Foreign Boards/Universities may also apply for admission to Lady Harding Medical College. The condition of studying 11th and 12th class from a school situated with the National Capital Territory of Delhi shall not be applicable to these candidates.

COMEDK-PGET : Eligibility Requirements

Eligibility Requirements

Eligibility requirements for taking admission into post graduate degree and diploma courses of COMEDK institutions is MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) / BDS (Bachelor of Dental Sciences) from an institute recognised by MCI (Medical Council of India) / DCI (Dental Council of India)

Applicants must meet all the requirements stipulated by MCI / DCI. Accordingly, they should have successfully passed their M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. from an institute recognised by MCI / DCI, and must have completed / completing their internship by April of the year of entrance examination.

MCI / DCI Norms

Every student, selected for admission to the Post Graduate medical / dental course in any of the medical / dental institutions in the country, shall possess recognized M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. degree or equivalent qualification and should have obtained permanent registration with the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India, or any of the State Medical / Dental Council or should obtain the same with in one month from the date of the admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

Provided that in the case of a foreign national, the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India may, on payment of the prescribed fee for the registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the Post Graduate training restricted to the college / institute to which the applicant is admitted for the time being exclusively for Post Graduate studies; Provided further, that temporary registration to such foreign national shall be subjected to the condition that such person is duly registered as medical practitioner in his own country from which the applicant has obtained his / her basic medical / dental qualification and that his / her degree is recognized by the corresponding medical Council or concerned authority.

As per the regulations of statutory bodies, as laid out in Post Graduate Regulation 2000 of Medical Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test for eligibility for admission to Post Graduate Courses shall be 50 percent for general category candidates and 40 percent for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.

Rank list will be prepared only for those students who are qualified / eligible for admission to Post Graduate Courses as per the Medical Council of India as well as Dental Council of India Regulations.

COMEDK-PGET : Pattern of PGET Entrance Test

Pattern of PGET Entrance Test

PGET consists of only one test for all Medical and Dental Courses respectively. The test contains 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be answered in 180 minutes.
