Introduction -

Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) is the first step in the process of seeking admission to the 2-Year full time Post-Graduate Degree Programs in Management offered by the IITs & IISc. Currently IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee are offering such Programs in Management. The IITs and IISc use the results of JMET to short-list the candidates for subsequent part of the selection process.

Xavier Admission Test (XAT)

XAT, abbreviated for Xavier Admission Test is one of the most popular tests among the MBA aspirants all over India. For more than 50 years Xavier Labour Research Institute, Jamshedpur (XLRI) is conducting this National level Admission Test to select the most appropriate students for its management eduXATion. XAT, the entrance exam to XLRI is also the entrance test to be taken for aspirants seeking admission to many other reputed B-Schools in the country such as XIMB (Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar), LIBA (Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Chennai), BIM (Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Trichy). There are 42 other Management Institutes who are selecting students from XAT.

Common Admission Test (CAT)

CAT, abbreviated for Common Admission Test is stepping stone for MBA aspirants to get admitted in reputed management schools of India. It is conducted by Indian Institute of Management- IIMs for admission to various levels of management courses. Apart from the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) located at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow, Indore, and Kozhikode, CAT is also a mandatory entrance examination for several other leading institutes like Kirloskar Institute of Management, Mudra Institute of Communication (MICA) Ahmedabad, Nirma Institute of Management, S.P. Jain Institute, TAI PAI and others.
