UP-SEE : Counselling

Counselling

Based on the UP-SEE test score/merit/ranks, the centralized counselling is conducted on-line through Internet in two phases.

In Phase-I, which will be off-campus on-line, the candidates can exercise their choices at place of their convenience to know about indicative choice allotment at frequent intervals.

Phase-II will be on-campus on-line, where eligible candidates will be required to report at pre-specified counselling centres for registration and final choice submission. The counselling is conducted at different counselling centres and also be available on the website.

RMAT : Eligibility

Eligibility

For getting admission into the two-year MBA course offered in the various Management Institutions of Rajasthan, candidates must have minimum a graduate degree of 10+2+3 system or equivalent from any University with at least 50% marks without any approximation (for SC/ST/OBC - 45%). Provisional approval for appearing in RMAT would be granted to candidates taking final year graduation examination.

The admission is open to candidates of Rajasthan domicile only.

Test Pattern

RMAT selection procedure consists of written test, group discussion and interview. The final merit list would be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in the written test, the marks obtained in Group Discussion, and Personal Interview.

A minimum of 20% marks in the written test is required to be called for GD and Interview. (15% for SC/ST/OBC).For every available seat a maximum of four candidates are short-listed for GD & Interview. (4:1 ratio)

Candidates will be given a test booklet containing 200 objective type multiple choice questions and a specifically designed OMR response sheet in the Examination hall. The type of tests which will be used in this OPENMAT (Entrance Test) are given below:

All the above four tests will be given in a composite test booklet which will be printed in English. Candidates will be given composite time of three hours to answer 200 questions. They may attempt the test in any order as they like. Since the questions in the test Booklet are objective type, answers are not required to be written in words or sentences. For each question, there are four answer choices suggested and only one of them is right. The candidates have to select the right answer from amongst the given answers. In case they find that none of the four alternatives is correct, they have to mark ‘O’.

The general educational qualification required, for getting undergraduate admissions in the National Law University, Jodhpur, Rajasthan is 10+2 with 50% marks in aggregate.

All Students taking qualifying examination in March/April of the year of the NET are also eligible to apply.

The student should be below 20 years of age as on July 01 of the year in which he/she is seeking admission (the age is relaxed for SC/ST candidates).

For Post Graduate Programs:
For the Post Graduate admissions in National Law University, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, a candidate should have secured 55% marks in aggregate in any discipline at Graduate level.

Post Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Management (PGDPM) [Full -Time Program]: Narsee Monjee Institute of Management, Mumbai, conducts an entrance examination for admission towards its PGDPM (Post Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Management) program. The eligibility criteria for different programs offered in NMIMS is as follows:

1. Master of Business Administration (MBA) [Full Time Program]

Every candidate for the full-time degree of Master of Business Administration must have passed a Bachelor’s degree examination (10+2+3) in any faculty of recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate as shown in the statement of marks.

OR

A student who has passed the examination for the degree of Master of Business Administration with specialization in any one discipline, namely Marketing, Finance, HR etc. will, on submission of a new application and payment of fresh fees be permitted to undertake specialization in another discipline by attending classes and appearing for examination in related subjects in the fourth, fifth and sixth trimesters. A student passing in an additional group/discipline under the provision of this rule will be awarded a certificate to that effect.

2. Five Year Integrated Full Time MBA (Tech)

Every candidate for the full time MBA - TECH program must have passed 10+ 2 exam with Science or Science vocational with minimum 50% marks aggregate as shown in the statement of marks. Candidates awaiting final year results may also apply.

3. Post Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Science (PGDAS)

A recognized degree with a minimum of 50% marks in the degree examination or Membership of ICAI or ICWAI or ICFA
Good Communication Skills
Candidates who are graduates or postgraduates in Statistics / Mathematics / Economics OR
Employees of Actuarial Departments of Insurance/Finance/Consulting Companies OR
Associates/fellows of Insurance Institute of India may be preferred

4. Post Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Management (PGDPM)

A bachelor’s degree in disciplines like Biomedical / Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Medicine from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate. Those who appear for the Final Examination are also eligible to apply.

5. Doctoral Programme in Management Studies
Masters Degree or equivalent/ M. Phil/MBA or equivalent/CA/CS/ICWA/BE or B Tech from a recognized University 55% of Marks or equivalent CGPA Two years full-time post qualification work experience.

Admission to the program is based on written exam conducted on an all India basis, Group Discussion and Personal Interview

Five Year Integrated Full Time MBA (Tech) Program
Admission to this program is based on the Written Test performance that consists of 100 objective type questions to be answered in the time duration of 90 minutes. Normally, there are 40 questions from Mathematics, 20 from Physics, 20 from Chemistry & 20 from Reasoning. Every question with correct/best answer is given 1.0 point/score and every question with wrong answer is given -0.33 point.

Those who qualify in the written test will be called for a personal interview that is conducted at NMIMS premises at Mumbai. The interview is of 75 marks. The candidates’ ability in Communication Skills, Commitment, General Awareness, Personality traits etc. is tested for which 75 marks are awarded. 25 marks are also given for the marks obtained in HSC examination

Post Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Science (PGDAS)

Selection to this course is made on written test and interview.

Post Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Management (PGDPM)

Candidates are selected on the basis of an All-India Entrance Test. This test is online (Computer Based) and conducted four times a day for four days at a number of centers (cities) in India.

The duration of the test is 90-minutes, containing 100 questions of 150 marks.

The candidates qualified in written examination have to appear for group discussion and interview at NMIMS, Mumbai.

A candidate seeking admission to two years Full Time or Three years part time MBA in all the Management institutes/Universities should fulfill the following eligibility conditions:
Candidate should be a graduate / post graduate in any discipline with at least 50 % marks in aggregate (40 % in case of SC/ST/OBC category) of any Indian University or foreign university or institute recognized by the concerned University as equivalent or any Open University such as MP-Bhoj, IGNOU. However the graduate degree should be with (three years of regular study after passing 12th class examination of (10 + 2) scheme or equivalent or (10 + 2 + 3) year system or equivalent.

Candidate who is appearing or has appeared for Final year of any degree examination during the current academic session as a regular or a private candidate can also appear in the Entrance test on provisional basis.

The entrance test will be held on one day for all the CET centres across Maharashtra. Approximately a month after the written test, the candidates who obtain the minimum cut off score are shortlisted for the Group Discussion and Interview. The GD and Interview scores are added to the written test scores. Besides these scores, some points are also allocated for academic achievements and work experience. Students who qualify after the GD and interview are short- listed for admission.

Stage-I: Application
Application form along with the information brochure can be obtained in person from the management Institutions/University Departments in the State on payment of the required amount. This fee is to be paid at the selected post offices, in the form of cash. No other mode of payment shall be permitted. This fee is non refundable and non transferable under any circumstances.

Stage II –Online Submission of Application Form at ARC
The candidate should read the information brochure and fill up the “Specimen Application Form” as mentioned in Annexure – VIII of the Information Brochure.

Aspiring candidates are required to fill the same information as on “Specimen Application Form” in the web based “Online Application Form for Admission to MBA/MMS” through the web site at any of the ARCs as mentioned in Annexure - III. However the candidates can also fill the “Online Application Form for Admission to MBA/MMS” through any computer connected to Internet, either from home or cyber café and take the printout of the Online submitted Application form for confirmation at the ARC.

After online submission of application form, candidates are required to submit the duly filled Specimen Application Form / printout of the online submitted Specimen application form at the ARC.

The web based software of submission of “Online Application Form for Admission to MBA/MMS” will validate the information filled in by the candidate and generate his/her unique Application ID. The candidate must note down the Application ID & password for further process. Using this Application ID, candidates will be able to login to the online admission system to check status of processing of his/her application form, check position in the merit list etc.
Candidates must note the Application ID on the reverse side of the HSC mark sheet for confirmation of submission of the application form at the ARC and any future reference to the information filled in by the candidates on the website.

Stage III – Confirmation of Submission of Application Form at ARC
All the candidates who have submitted “Online Application Form for Admission to MBA/MMS” at ARC are required to confirm the submission of application form at any convenient ARCs along with the attested copies of the required supporting documents (Refer Rule no. 5.4 for the list of supporting documents) like Non-Creamy Layer Certificate, Caste Certificate, Domicile Certificate etc. to substantiate claim against caste, type of candidature and receipt of payment of application processing fees mentioned above. In any case these certificates will not be accepted after the last date of confirmation of submission of application form.

There is negative marking for incorrect answers. For a wrong answer to a question, 25% of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted.

For pursuing fellowship programs with IIMs an aspirant should meet the following eligibility conditions:

A Master’s Degree holder in any discipline or equivalent qualification, with a minimum of 55% marks.

-OR-

A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with at least 60% marks and a minimum of two years relevant work experience.

The Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree or a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or Technology from any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or
declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

A Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 55% marks

In addition, all FPM applicants must also satisfy the eligibility criteria for the Common Admission Test (CAT).

Applicants who plan to take GATE or have taken or plan to take GMAT or GRE are also eligible to apply, without taking CAT. Candidates taking the Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) must have the official result reported to the Indian Institute of Management office.

Age Limit: Candidates must not be more than 45 years, to pursue FPM in IIMs.

Test Details

Candidates are required to take Common Admission Test (CAT) which is common to both Post Graduate as well as FPM/Doctoral Programs of all the IIMs.

Alternatively, they can take GATE, GRE and JRF of UGC and CSIR. Candidates who have already obtained a PGDM from any of the IIMs with a minimum CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale or equivalent need not take CAT and can apply directly through the prescribed FPM application form.

Interested candidates are required to rake the Common Admission Test (CAT) of IIMs or GMAT / GRE / GATE / UGC JRF (Research) for some of the specific areas.

Applicants are evaluated on their past academic achievements, motivation and preparation for the program, letters of recommendation, scores on standard tests, and a personal interview with the faculty. Candidates with inadequate preparation in mathematical methods and/or communication skills can attend a preparatory program before wants to enter the program.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program

The MBA program in the Department of Management Studies, Indian School of Mines is a two-year full time course. Each academic year is divided into two semesters.

In the first year, students are exposed to core courses consisting of certain basic and functional areas of management.

In the summer vacation at the end of first year, students are required to spend approximately eight weeks in an organization, doing a project on some significant aspect or problem of management.

In the second year, besides completing the remaining core courses, students pursue elective courses in two of the following areas of interest such as Marketing, Finance, Human Resource and Operations Management.

Each student has to choose two elective courses from one area of specialization and one elective course from the second area of specialization in the third semester. In the fourth semester the pattern is reversed.

Candidates short-listed on the basis of CAT score are called for Group Discussion and Interview for final selection.

A selected candidate who fails to take admission by the last date may loose his/her claim and seat may be offered to the wait-listed candidates. On the last date of the admission - after 12 Noon, the seats may be offered on “first come first serve’ basis to wait listed candidates. Fees once paid are not refundable.
