ADMISSION TO B.TECH./B.E./B.ARCH. COURSES IN RAJASTHAN FOR THE YEAR 2008-09
I. Applications are invited from the eligible candidates of Rajasthan Domicile including the wards of Kashmir migrants for the Registration of “Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test RPET – 2008” for admissions to 1st year Bachelor of Technology / Engineering / Architecture courses for the seat to be notified by the Government of the State of Rajasthan for the academic year 2008-09 and conducted by Rajasthan Technical university, (RTU), Kota.

II.     For admission to B.Tech / B.E. courses a candidate must appear in the RPET-2008 scheduled on 22nd May, 2008 (Thursday) from9a.m.to 12 noon at the centres in the following towns: Ajmer, Alwar, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Churu, Himtaun City, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Jodhpur, Kota, Pilani, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Sri Ganganagar, Tonk, Udaipur.

III.    The single examination of three hours duration shall consist of 40 objective type questions in each of the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics totaling 120 questions with one mark each.

IV.    For admission to B.Arch, course a candidate must appear for NATA |National Aptitude Test in Architecture) in 2008 conducted by the council of Architecture. However, their admission shall be decided by admission committee ol HPt f-2008 based on the ranking of NATA and marts in the qualifying

V.     Academic Eligibility : The minimum academic qualification for admission Through RPET-2008 is pass in the 10–2 (Class XIII with Physics 8 Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Sc/Biology as one of the optional subjects from Board of Secondary Education. VI.    Candidate shall submit two zerox copies (A4 size) of application form published in the news paper/our website www.rtu.ac.in/rpet-2008

VII.   Candidate shall submit application forms in two sets along with o demand draft of Rs. 900/- (Rupees Nine Hundred only)) in favour of “Coordinator, RPET-2008″ payable at Kota, The candidate shall write his/her name, address and choice of town for test on backside of D D

VIII.  The completed application  form along with relevant document in duplicate in A-4 size envelope should reach to “Coordinator. RPET-2008, Rajasthan Technical University, Kota 324022 latest by 25,4.2008 up to 5.OO p.m, by speed post registered past/by person only, Application sent through courier is not acceptable.

IX.    Candidate shall write (a) choice of town and (b) D.D. No, b Date with name of issuing Bank and Branch on the right top of A-4 size envelope. Address of die Candidate shall be written at left bottom of envelope.

X.     Permission to appear in RPET-2008 shall not guarantee for ful filling eligibility criteria for admission and only the eligible candidates as per RPET 2008 rules will be considered for counseling and subsequent admission.

UP-CPMT : Examination Pattern

Examination Pattern

Selection is on merit in CPMT in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology carrying 300 marks in each paper and is of 2-1/2 hours duration each. The questions are of objective type and the standard is of Intermediate. There’s an additional paper of Hindi. However, marks secured in this paper are not added in Merit List. Candidates are required to obtain 50% (40% for SC/ST) marks in Science subject and 35% marks in Hindi/English to qualify the Test.
