MHT-CET Health Science Courses Government of Maharashtra conducts a single stage Combined Common Entrance Test for selection to all degree courses in Health Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, BVSc.& AH and Engineering courses under Govt./ Corporation /Govt. Aided Colleges and Govt. Quota in Private colleges. The entrance test is called Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET). The Competent Authority for the conduct of MHT-CET (Maharashtra Combined Common Entrance Test) examination is Director, Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai, Maharashtra. However, for the selection process there are two separate Competent Authorities. Reservation Reservation in seats is available in Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) and Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology (NSIT) New Delhi. 15% seats for Scheduled Castes and 7.5% seats reserved for Scheduled Tribes. 5% seats for Children / Widows of Personnel of Armed / Para Military Forces Killed / disabled (CW) in action during hostilities. 3% seats for Physically Handicapped (1% for persons with low vision or blindness, 1% for hearing impaired, 1% for those with loco motor disabilities and / or cerebral palsy.)
No. of Seats The CET Cell generally comes to know about the exact number of seats, their classification and categories before the commencement of seat selection. Hence, an accurate number of seats to be offered for allotment as Government seats, college wise, category wise and course wise, cannot be made known exactly. The seat matrix (Government seats) in respect of Engineering, Technology and Architecture courses, as notified by the Government are published on the notice boards of the CET Cell and also on the CET website http://kar.nic.in/cet before the commencement of seat selection process. Management Seats Management seats are filled on the basis of the composite Merit List after the Regular Seats have been filled. The candidates who fail to get admission in the general category but interested in seeking admission under management category should make an application to that effect. Reservations of the seats (a) In each college and in each ourse 19% of the total no. of seats shall be reserved for SC, 4% for ST and 14% for OBC category of candidates. (b) In each College and in each Course, horizontal reservation of 2% of total seats in that category, shall be reserved for dependants of freedom fighters, 2% for sons and daughters of defence personnel died or disabled in war, 3% for physically handicapped and 20% for women candidates.
Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test - (TANCET) Common Entrance Test CET-Tamil Nadu is conducted by TNSF-Consortium (Consortium of Self - Financing Professional, Arts and Science Colleges in Tamil Nadu). Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) Pondicherry The admission to the first year MBA program for the Government quota seats in the self-financing Colleges/Institutes in the Union Territory of Pondicherry is centralized and made by the Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC-MBA) of Government of Pondicherry from the academic year 2005-2006. No. of Seats / Reservations The accurate number of seats available under various branches of different institutions will be notified on official website of RPETEAP during the time of admission. Except in case of unaided Private Institutions and 50% seats in the self-finance courses of the aided institutions, the reservation of seats will be made subject to the prevalent statutory provisions i.e. as per relevant rules and regulations of Govt. of Rajasthan viz. 16% for SC candidates, 12% for ST candidates and 21% for candidates belonging to OBC category. (A) Please tell me about admissions procedure to engineering colleges for the candidates who are not domiciled in Rjasthan & when is the admission notification issued for such AIEEE candidates who are not alowed to take the exam conducted by Rajastahn Technical University?
(B) I have similar querry as at (A) above for admissions to engineering colleges in Haryana, Punjab, Uttaranchal & Uttar Pradesh.
Please help me by ansewring the above querries as my daughter is appearing in CBSE Class XII exams being conducted in Year 2008.
