West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is conducted by West Bengal Board of Examination. The students who appear and find place in merit ranking of WB - JEE can get admission into BE degree programs available across 54 engineering colleges within the state of West Bengal. These colleges offers courses in a range of engineering disciplines like – Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computers and IT, Instrumentation and production and Industrial etc.

HP-CMAT is conducted in the following centres:

However, the Government reserves the right to change the centres according to its convenience. Therefore aspirants are advised to check the official notification of the HP-CMAT for the exact details.

No. of Seats
More than 13000 seats are available in different engineering disciplines offered at various engineering colleges across the state of West Bengal. 22% seats are reserved for schedule casts (SC) and 6 % seats are reserved for schedule tribes (ST) category candidates. However, 15% seats of all the engineering colleges are filled on the basis of All India Engineering Entrance Examination – AIEEE.
Application Form
Application form for Joint Entrance Examination – JEE can be purchased from the sales counter of West Bengal Board of Examination or from designated branches of UTI Banks of Kolkata Howrah. Candidates also can request for the same through post. The board issues notification for the sale of JEE application form and date of entrance examination etc in each year.

Test Pattern
The pattern of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WB - JEE) for admission to engineering degree courses is as follows-
The question paper consists of 100 questions of 200 marks.
Each question carries 2 marks.
All the questions are of objective type or multiple choice type containing four options.
A correct choice is subject to award of 2 marks.
Negative Marking – For every 3 wrong answers --2 marks are awarded.
The candidate willing to take admission into B.E. / B. Tech Engineering Courses requires answering questions in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Those candidates who want to take admission into B. Arch. – Bachelor of Architecture
