The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are reportedly eyeing foreign B-schools to forge research tie-ups with them. Entering into research partnerships with reputed universities abroad would help IIMs attain an improved global ranking. “With increased research presence in international journals B-schools can improve their overall ranking,” said a professor. The institutes are now looking at diverse programmes and targeting global candidates.

IIM research partnerships with global B-schools
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) are in process of making overseas JV’s with US and Europe based Business Schools. IIML is exploring research tie ups with five B-schools in the US and Europe. The institute has close to 20 research tie ups and may collaborate with Sandiago College of Business. IIMA is in talks with the University of Amsterdam and Duke University, say sources. The institute has exchange agreements with about 45 institutions globally. IIMB is in talks with four foreign B-schools for possible collaborations in areas of marketing and finance. Tele-Health Technology Course
Admission is now open for the fifth Tele Health Technology Course jointly organized by Apollo Telemedicine Networking Foundation and Anna University. The course will be conducted from July 31 to August 14 at Anna University and Apollo Hospitals between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Applicants must have a degree in Science/ Engineering/Medicine. A total of 50 seats are available. Indian students must pay a fee of Rs. 6,500, while overseas participants are required to remit Rs.13, 000 per participant. This covers the cost of the course and materials and also includes hands-on training at a rural tele-medicine centre.
