Eligibility: As a pre-requisite to admission to any of the above degree courses, candidates must have appeared in the JET-2007 in the necessary papers prescribed for admission to the respective degree courses. However, mere appearance in JET-2007 will not automatically qualify a candidate for admission to any of the above degree courses. For admission to any course, the candidate should fulfill the necessary admission requirements prescribed for the respective degree courses as prescribed by the Pondicherry University. For Admission to B. Tech. Degree Course: Candidates seeking admission to the B. Tech. degree course should have a pass in the HSC (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination thereto with a minimum of 45% marks (a mere pass for SC / ST candidates) in aggregate in the subjects - Mathematics, Physics and any one of the following optional subjects: Chemistry/Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology (Botany & Zoology). Candidates belonging to UT of Puducherry, and who have passed HSC (Vocational Stream in the area of Engineering & Technology) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination thereto with a minimum of 45% marks (a mere pass for SC candidates) in aggregate in subjects - Vocational subjects and Related subject (Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry) are also eligible for admission to the B.Tech. degree course. For Admission to B.D.S. Degree Course::: Candidates seeking admission to the B.D.S. degree course should have a pass in the HSC (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination thereto with a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for SC candidates) in aggregate in the subjects – English, Biology / Botany & Zoology, Physics and Chemistry. For Admission to B.V.Sc & A.H Degree Course:::: Candidates seeking admission to the B.V.Sc.& A.H. Degree course should have a pass in the HSC (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination thereto with a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for SC candidates) in aggregate in the subjects - Biology / Botany & Zoology, Physics and Chemistry. For Admission to B.Sc. (Agri) Degree Course Candidates seeking admission to B. Sc.(Agri.) degree course should have a pass in the HSC (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination thereto with a minimum of 50% marks (a mere pass for SC candidates) in aggregate in the subjects - Biology / Botany & Zoology, Physics and Chemistry). For Admission to B.Pharm. Degree Course Candidates seeking admission B.Pharm degree course should have a pass in the HSC (Academic / Vocational) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination thereto with a minimum of 50% (mere pass for SC/ST candidates) marks in any one of the following three subjects combination. They should have studied English as one of the subjects. Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following optional subjects: Biology (Botany & Zoology)/Mathematics/Bio- Technology/Computer Science. Physics, Foundation Science and Medical Laboratory Assistant Course. Chemistry, Foundation Science and Nursing Course. For Admission to B.Sc (Nursing), B.P.T. and B.Sc. (MLT) Degree Courses Candidates seeking admission to any of the above degree courses should have a pass in the HSC (Academic / Vocational) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination thereto with a minimum of 50% [40% for SC / ST / OBC (including MBC) candidates] marks in any one of the following three subjects combination and should have English as one of the subjects. Biology / Botany & Zoology, Physics and Chemistry. Physics, Foundation Science and Medical Laboratory Assistant Course Chemistry, Foundation Science and Nursing Course. For Admission to M.B.B.S. Degree Course (For Puducherry UT resident candidates only) Candidates seeking admission to the M.B.B.S. degree course should have a pass in HSC (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination thereto with a minimum of 50% marks [40% marks for SC/OBC (including MBC) candidates] in aggregate in the subjects – English, Biology / Botany & Zoology, Physics and Chemistry.
Note: Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination in the supplementary examination and submitted the admission application in time as prescribed by CENTAC should submit their mark sheet of the qualifying exam to CENTAC within 10 days from the publication of results. Counselling of such candidates will be based on the merit arrived at after taking the supplementary marks into account. However, they will be considered for admission only for the available seats at the time of counselling following their submission of supplementary marks.
Age: The age will be reckoned as on 1st July 2007 for B.Tech and MBBS Courses and 31st Dec. 2007 for B. Sc. (Nursing) and BPT Degree Courses.
Application procedure: The application set consists of: • JET-2007 Application form • B.Tech Admission Application form and Coding Sheet • Biology based courses Admission Application form and Coding Sheet • Information Bulletin, 2007-2008 Necessary application forms (one set for JET-2007 and another for admission) along with Information Bulletin can be obtained on or after 20th April 2007 in person from the following Post Offices on all working days on payment of Rs.520/- and Rs.145/- for SC/ST candidates. Issue of applications will be closed by 5.00 pm on 11.5.2007. Other state candidates can obtain application for B. Tech courses (with AIEEE score) only through post till 1.6.2007. Post

Application forms can also be obtained by post by sending a request to The Convenor, CENTAC, Pondicherry Engineering College Campus, Puducherry- 605 014, along with two self-addressed slips (neatly typed or hand written) and a crossed demand draft drawn in favour of The Convenor, CENTAC, payable at Puducherry, for Rs.565/- [for SC / ST Candidates Rs.190/-] Payment by cheques, postal orders and money orders will not be accepted.
Courses Offered: Admission to the first year B.Tech., B.D.S., B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.Pharm., B.Sc. (Nursing), B.P.T. and B.Sc. (MLT) degree courses offered by the Government sponsored colleges is centralised and done by the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Government of Puducherry.

Note: Puducherry UT Candidates Candidates belonging to Puducherry UT are eligible for admission to all the degree courses. A candidate is considered as a Puducherry UT Candidate if he / she satisfies at least one of the following domicile criteria: a) Those candidates or whose parents have been residing continuously in the Puducherry UT at least for 5 years immediately before the date of application. b) Those who have passed SSLC / HSC or any other public examination and for that purpose had undergone academic studies continuously for 5 successive classes immediately preceding the qualifying examination (including the year of the qualifying examination) in recognised educational institution(s) located in Puducherry UT and having their residence in Puducherry UT for 5 years continuously during that period. c) Children of Central Government Servants / Defence Personnel / Central Paramilitary Forces / Employees of Public Sector Undertakings wholly or substantially run either by the Central Government or by the Puducherry UT administration posted in Puducherry UT for at least a minimum period of one year prior to the last date of submission of application. d) Children of natives of the Puducherry UT who have declared any place in the Puducherry UT as their hometown and so certified by their respective Heads of Office. Also, Nativity Certificate in the prescribed format has to be enclosed along with the admission application. e) Children of Defence Personnel who were killed or disabled in action and children of Central Government Servants / Puducherry UT Government Servants / Defence Personnel / Employees of Public Sector undertakings as referred in category (c) and (d) who died while in service in Puducherry UT. f)French Nationals residing in Puducherry UT and covered by the terms of the Treaty of Cession shall be treated on par with the candidates who produce the prescribed Puducherry UT residence certificate. Such French Nationals will not be required to produce residence certificate, instead they should produce a certificate of registration issued for this purpose from the French Consulate at Puducherry. Children of these French Nationals shall not be considered for admission under the quota of non-residents. Other State/UT Candidates Candidates from other States / UTs can seek admission only to B.Tech. degree course offered by Pondicherry Engineering College and B.Pharm, B.Sc.(Nursing), B.P.T. & B.Sc.(MLT) degree courses offered by Mother Theresa Institute of Health Sciences, Puducherry (MTIHS). The candidates from other States / UTs who have passed HSC (Academic) examination or equivalent thereto only are eligible for admission to B.Tech. degree course. The candidates from other States/ UTs seeking admission to B.Tech. Degree course offered by Pondicherry Engineering College shall apply with AIEEE marks. They need not appear in JET-2007. They shall submit admission application for B.Tech course with AIEEE marks on or before 15.06.2007, 5.00 p.m However, candidates from Other States / UTs who have passed HSC (Academic / Vocational) or its equivalent are eligible for admission to all the degree courses offered by MTIHS. Those who are seeking admission to the courses offered by MTIHS, shall be required to appear in JET-2007 conducted by CENTAC, Government of Puducherry.

i got addmission in to mbbs in andhrapradesh in a private edical college. but i have not attained 17yrs of age as on 1 jan 2008. My date of birth is 27-4-1992.Will there be objection from MCI. If they object how can i take permission from MCI. what is the procedure
