Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree + 3 years’ Supervisory/ Managerial/ Professional experience OR Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Medicine/Architecture/ Law, etc. OR Professional Qualifications in Accountancy, Cost & Works Accountancy, Company Secretaryship etc. OR Master’s Degree in any subject. (The University may consider other degrees in this list of equivalent professional degree/qualification, if required.) Note: Non-Graduates with 6 years’ Supervisory/ Managerial/ Professional experience are eligible to apply for DIM only. The candidates who have completed 10+2 or its equivalent qualification may be treated as Non-Graduates.
Application procedure: ‘Student Handbook & Prospectus for Management Programme -2007″, can be obtained from the Registrar (SR&E), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068 and from all the Regional Centres of IGNOU, including IGNOU-ARMY, AIR FORCE, NAVY, ASSAM RIFLES, and CRPF R/o Regional Centres, by sending a sum of Rs.550/- through a Demand Draft/IPO in favour of IGNOU payable at the city from where it is requisitioned by post, or by paying Rs.500/- in cash at the respective sale counters. Please write your name and address on the back of the DD/IPO. Application form and sent to Registrar (SR&E), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi - 110068, by Registered/Speed Post along with a DD/IPO for Rs.550/- in favour of IGNOU, payable at New Delhi. Prospectus will be sent to such applicants after receipt of Rs.550/-,as explained above. Filled in form for Entrance Test ‘OPENMAT-XXI’ must reach, The Registrar (SR&E), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi - 110068, by registered post/speed post on or before 30th November, 2006. Envelope containing Application forms must be superscribed “APPLICATION FOR OPENMAT-XXI”.
Note Last date for receipt of request for ‘PROSPECTUS’ by post is 14th November, 2006. — The Exam. will be held at nearly 120 centres all over the country.

IGNOU has launched a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Eligibility for this four-year programme is a three-year diploma in engineering. The students who have successfully completed at least the first year of a B.Tech programme and those who possess an advanced diploma or a diploma in Computer Integrated Manufacturing are also eligible for this B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
