offers the following Fellowships:

(1) Doctoral Fellowship Scheme for Criminology and Police Science to Indian National for the award of 6 Fellowships for Doctoral work in Criminology and Police Science.

Eligibility: lst/2nd Class Master’s degree in (not less than 55% marks or equivalent grade) in Criminology or Sociology or Social Work or Psychology or Social Anthropology or Public Administration or Political Science or Law with II class Bachelor’s degree in aforesaid subject. The candidate should have passed NET for Junior Research Fellowships. The candidate should be registered for Ph.D. programme with any recognised University in India or should get registered with three months of the award of fellowship. Age: Preferably below the age of 30 years.

Value of each fellowship is Rs. 5,000 per month for the first two years and Rs. 5,600 in the third year plus a contingency grant of Rs. 5,000 per annum. The Fellowships are tenable for three years. Departmental assistance of Rs. 3,000 per year will be paid to the Institution in which the fellow is registered for the Ph.D.

Selection would be restricted to only those candidates who have passed National Eligibility Test for Junior Research Fellowships conducted by University Grants Commission.
Last date: January.

(ii) Junior Research Fellowship in Forensic Science. Subject Fields:

(a) Forensic Chemical Science (Chemistry, Narcotic Drugs, Explosives, Toxicology and Pharmacology etc.).

(b) Forensic Physical Science (Physics, Ballistics, Image Processing, Speaker Recognition, Lie detection etc.).

(c) Forensic Biological Science (Osteology, Serology, DNA Finger Printing, Biology, Odontology, Anthropology etc.)

(d) Forensic Documents Science (Ink Analysis, Paper/Fibre Analysis Computer Frauds and Cyber Crime, Handwriting Identification, Credit Card etc.).

Eligibility: Indian nationals, lst class Master’s degree in any discipline of Science including Physics/ Chemistry /Bio-Chemistry/ Anthropology/Zoology/Molecular Biology/Mathematics (with Physics as one of the subjects at the Bachelors degree level)/Bio-Technology/Microbiology/Pharmacy/Pharmacology/Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Forensic Psychology etc. or Microbiology/Biology/Mathematics and Forensic Science or M.Phil. in the same subject whichever is the basic qualification for the Award of Ph.D. degree of a recognised Indian University.

Age: Below 30 years as on the specified date of the year of award. 20% of the total number of fellowships are reserved for suitable Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/OBC Candidates. Number of Scholarships: 12. Duration: 3-year.

    My name is Moumita Sinha and I have done M.Sc in Forensic Sciences from AMITY University,Noida in 2005-07 and I am going to do Ph.D in Forensi Biological Sciences and waiting for registration and also I had prepared my synopsis from Pt.Ravishnkar Shukla University and the university has an established lab for human genomics study and I want to know that can we apply for any project proposals in Forensic Biology Department of Bureau Of Police Reasearch And Development.
