These Scholarships are offered to those who are residing in India and working in Public Sector Undertakings/Organisations/Firms, particularly who have collaborative agreement with U.K. firms, for award of scholarships, for practical experience in the following subject-fields: Energy and Environment Management, and Power System Engineering including Generation, Transmission and Distribution practices.

  1. Would be pursuing a post-grad course in Petroleum Engg. from Oct. 2008. Am currently an employee of a leading Public Sector Undertaking in India in oil industry. The request for a scholarship upto GBP 1,000 per month please.

OVERSEAS RESEARCH STUDENTS AWARDS SCHEME (ORSAS) Overseas Research Students Awards Scheme is funded by the Department for Education and Skills (earlier known as Department for Education and Employment) These grants are for postgraduate students undertaking full-time study for a higher degree as registered research students at UK universities. Selection of candidates is based solely on academic merit and research potential. Awards meet the difference between the UK and overseas level of tuition fees only, and do not cover maintenance costs. They are initially made for one year but can be continued for a second or third year, subject to the satisfactory progress
