Overseas Postgraduate Research scholarship (300 awards) to students who are pursuing a full-time study programme (Master’s or Ph.D. degrees) at Australian higher education institutions.

Duration: for Masters degree: 2 years, 3 years for PhD. with provision for extension in certain circumstances.

Value: Covers only tuition fees and basic health cover. Scholarship holders may obtain support from other sources to cover their living. Further details can be had from the Registrar of the respective higher education institution at which the applicant proposes to study.

Awards meet the difference between the UK and overseas level of tuition fees only, and do not cover maintenance costs. They are initially made for one year but can be continued for a second or third year, subject to the satisfactory progress
