SCHOLARSHIPS IN GAES (DAAD)
SCHOLARSHIPS OFFERED BY DAAD
(i) GAES (DAAD) Research: Eligibility: Masters with at least 60% marks at Masters or Bachelors in the subject or related field. 2 years consecutive teaching/research/practical training after obtaining the prescribed qualification. MPhil degree is counted as a year’s experience
(ii) Sandwich Model Fellowships: Eligibility: The candidate should be registered for Ph.D. in India.
(iii) PhD Fellowships: Eligibility: The candidate should be a Staff/ Research fellow of Indian Institute of Technology, Agricultural, Veterinary and Forestry Universities and Institutes, Institutions of National Importance and/or relevant Universities. ???? preferably have contacts with German Professors/placement at the German Institutes. Have letters from German Scientists/Professors confirming that the proposed research could be carried out at their Institutes/ letter of admission for Ph.D. programme. Have sufficient knowledge about Germany. Undergo a 4 months compulsory German Language course at one of the Institutes of Germany.
Number of Fellowship: 8. Duration: 2-year For Research and Sandwich Model and 3 years for Ph.D.
Value: Maintenance allowance
Euro 715 for Masters degree holders
Euro 795 for Ph.D. Scholars
Euro 975 for Ph.D. Scholars with at least 2 years teaching or research experience.
