(h) ICMR International Fellowships for Biomedical Scientists from Developing Countries.
Eligibility: MBBS/M.Sc. (Life sciences). Age: Prefer below 45 years. Other Requirements: The candidate should be a citizen of a developing country and be employed in a regular position in a recognized Biomedical/Health Research Institute in her/his respective country.
Number of Scholarship: 5. Duration: 1-6 months. Value: Rs.500 per day. Travel Grant: Economy class return air passage. Last date: as per the notification.
(ii) Research Assistantship. Eligibility: MD, MDs or Ph.D. in any field. Age: Up to 40 years. Duration: 3 years. Value: With 3 years of post-doctoral research experience Rs.11500 p.m. and more than 3 years of post-doctoral research experience Rs.12000 p.m. Contingency Grant: Rs.10000 pa.
(iii) Senior Research Fellowship. Eligibility: M.Sc. (Life Sciences, M.A. (Social Sciences), Masters in Medical Social Work (M.S.W.) Degree Holders with 2 years of research experience OR M.E./M.Tech., MBBS, BDS, MVSc, M.Pharm. without experience. Age: Up to 35 years.
Duration: 3 years. Value: Non-Medical: First 2 years Rs.9500 pm, Subsequent years Rs.10000 pm. Engineering, Medical and Dental: Rs.10000 pm. Contingency Grant: Rs.7500 pa. Notification: Throughout the year.
(iv) Short Term Visiting Fellowship. Eligibility: The candidate should
1. Be a regular scientist in a Medical College, Research Institute, University etc.
2. Be engaged in the field of biomedicine.
3. Require training of a very specific nature related to the research work he/she is doing.
4. Secure placement for training.
Duration: 3 months. Value: Rs. 60 per day. Travel Grant: First Class return railway fare.
