Eligibility: If you are a topper in PUC/12 Standard with Mathematics as one of the subjects of study (within top 20 ranks of the PU Board/University examination or equivalent), you have an excellent opportunity to become an “!ISc Young Science Fellow”. To become eligible, you have to pursue a career in science, viz., Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology in any College/University of your choice in India. If selected you would be invited to spend one month during May-June every year at the Indian Institute of Science where you would be exposed to contemporary scientific research. You would be paid travel and stay expenses. fISc contributes partially towards payment of your tuition fees and purchase of books.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST category would be considered under relaxed criteria. The decision of the institute on the award of “MSc Young Fellowship” is final.
