SCHOLARSHIPS IN NATIONAL BOARD FOR HIGHER MATHEMATICS, DEPARTMENT OF ATOMIC ENERGY

NATIONAL BOARD FOR HIGHER MATHEMATICS, DEPARTMENT OF ATOMIC ENERGY, O.Y.C. Building, C.S.M. Marg, Mumbai 400001 offers Scholarships for pursuing Post-Graduate Studies (M.AVM.Sc.) in Mathematics.

Eligibility: Applicants should be motivated students with 1st Class Bachelor’s degree or equivalent grade qualified to pursue M.A./M.Scin Mathematics. Students studying in their last semester of B.Sc. with good academic record can also apply. Age: 22 years. Exceptional cases would, however, be considered on merit.

Amount of scholarship: The successful candidates would be eligible for a Scholarship of Rs. 1,200/- per month during two years of their M.A./M.Sc. Course. The selected students would be expected to enrol themselves with an appropriate Institution of M.A./M.Sc. degree in Mathematics. The scholarships would be paid through the institutions which they join. The scholarships are sanctioned for one year at a time and are renewable at the end of the year, subject to satisfactory progress. Selection is made on the basis of a written test and interviews to assess the aptitude of the applicants. The interested candidates have to apply in the prescribed format and as per instructions published in the prominent newspapers.
