and Plant Genomics.
Eligibility:
(a) M.Sc. in Life Science or equivalent in related disciplines.
(b) First Division or equivalent grade or at least 60% aggregate score at each level from Senior Secondary Certificate (10+2) onwards are required.
(c) Candidate appearing in M.Sc. or equivalent examination may also apply.
(d) Other things being equal, UGC/CSIR-NET qualified candidates would receive preference.
(e) Reservations as per statutory norms.
Ph.D. Programme Schedule
(a) The programme is expected to commence during first week of August.
(b) Depending upon their relative scholastic standing and merit, candidates enrolled for Ph.D. degree are offered fellowship/ stipend of Rs. 5000-6000 per month.
(c) Guide and Laboratory selection for thesis work will only be made after successful completion of course work.
Selection Procedure:
(a) Candidates fulfilling minimum requirements are invited for a written qualifying test at their own expenses, on a date, time and venue to be communicated by the Centre. The written test is aimed at evaluating abilities to comprehend, analyse and reason. Qualified candidates are invited for an interview.
(b) Candidates selected after the interview are enrolled for the NCPGR Ph.D. programme in academic affiliation with the JNU.
