(i) Courses in Biotechnology on Fellowships:

(a) M.Sc. (2-year).

(b) Post Graduate Diploma Course in Biotechnology.

Eligibility: M.Sc. (2-Year course): Bachelor’s degree in Physical, Biological Agriculture, Veterinary, Fishery Science, Engineering, Technology, Medicine with at least 55% marks from any University recognised by Punjab University.

Ph.D (Diploma course in Biotechnology): M.Sc. in Agriculture, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Geology, Microbiology, Biophysics, Biochemistry or Anthropology.

Selection Procedure: Selection is made through entrance test held at Chandigarh. Value: Selected candidates for M.Sc. get Rs. 400 p. m. as fellowship. In Ph.D Course out of the 10 selected candidates only the first five candidates get fellowship of Rs. 600 p.m.
Notification: June/July. Last date: September,

(ii) Research Fellowships

Eligibility: Master’s degree with 55% marks and 50% in the Bachelor’s Degree. Value: Rs.1800 p.m. for the first two years and Rs.2100 p.m. for the subsequent years. Last date: April.
