Visiting Fellowships in Canadian Government Laboratories The fellowship provides promising young scientists with the opportunity to work with well-established research groups and leaders in their fields in federal research laboratories. The appointments are for one year. Renewals for a second and/or third year are possible. Application may be eligible to participate in two instances
(i) They have received a doctorate from a recognised university within the last five years: or
(ii) They are currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program at a recognised university and expect to complete all requirements for the degree (including thesis defence) within six months of submitting an application. The value of the stipend is $37,520 for 12 months plus a travel allowance for fellow, spouse and dependent children (allowances are subject to Canadian income tax)
