offers Women Scientist Scholarship Scheme for women who have science qualification for training in the area of intellectual property rights, especially in patent research, understanding of patent specification and preparation of technology scan report. Empower the talented and skilled women who have studied Science, Engineering and Medicines to contribute effectively in the advancement of Science and Technology in the country.
Eligibility: M.Sc./Ph.D in Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences or B.Tech., or B.E./M.Tech. or MBBS/MS/MD/MVSc/ M.Pharma. with good academic record. Candidates should have a good familiarity with computers in handling databases, surfing the net and information searches. Candidates with research experience, preparing project reports and experience of thesis writing will be preferred. Age: Candidates should not be more 50 years.
Value: The scholarship is admissible for a period of one year and the amount of scholarship is maximum of Rs. 10,000 p.m. for candidates having M.Sc. or B.Tech or MBBS and a maximum of Rs.15,000 p.m. for Ph.D/M.Tech/M.Pharma./MVSc and MS/MD. Selection is made through a written test and interview. Last date: August.

The selected fellows will undergo full- time Master of Science (Post Graduate) course in Science Communication being conducted by the Council in collaboration with the Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani on an off-campus mode.
Eligibility: First class Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Information Technology/ Telecommunication/Instrumentation/Computer/Metallurgy/ Chemical Engineering/Production Engineering or first M.Sc. degree in Physics/Chemistry/Bio-science/Environmental Science.
