Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination in April/ May 2007 and awaiting result may also apply.
Candidates may obtain the application form and prospectus for B.A. (Labour Management), M.A. (Labour Management) & PGDLA on Payment of Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) by cash in person or by post/ on requisition with a Crossed Demand Draft fir Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) drawn in favour of the Director, Tamil Nadu Institute of Labour Studies, Chennai – 5, payable at Chennai together with a self addressed cover 26 x 20 cm. affixed with a stamp worth Rs.25/- clearly mentioning the name of the course. Selection will be made on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations.
The institute has a placement cell called NMGB to place the students in various private and public sector industries. The above course are approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu, Labour and Employment Department, for the appointment of Labour Officers as per G.O.(D) No. 1170, L & E dt. 10.9.2004, in the scheduled industries/ establishments in Tamil Nadu.
