The Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism is a practical course that comprises six months of intensive classroom teaching followed by a paid internship. The course focuses on developing sources of information, interviewing techniques and different types of journalistic writings (including PR Journalism).The next six months comprise a paid internship. Most importantly the internship will be at one of the esteemed Times Group’s media interests and not just at any organization.
You will learn from some of India’s finest editors, correspondents and reporters, and get an overview of the business from expert managers of the media industry. On completion of the course, which will be conducted at New Delhi, you stand a good chance of working with the Times Group. What better start to a career in journalism.
What it takes to meet the front-page deadline
To be eligible for the course, you need to be a graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% marks and be under 27 years of age. You also need to take a common admission test that will be held at the centers mentioned below.
