Doctoral Level Programs
XLRI Jamshedpur offers both full-time and part-time programs.
1. Fellow Program in Management (FPM) is a full-time, residential doctoral level programme that trains prospective scholars to become highly skilled and innovative researchers and teachers in various aspects of management.
Fellowship:
Students are awarded a fellowship of Rs. 10,000/- per month for four years and no tuition fees will be charged. The Institute provides financial support up to Rs. 1, 00,000/-for participation in conferences in India and abroad. Besides these, there is a contingency grant up to Rs.20, 000/- per annum,
Eligibility and Application Process:
Master’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline or CA, ICWA, or CS with at least 55% marks (50% for SC / ST candidates) or a B.E / B.Tech degree or its equivalent with at least 60% marks (50% for SC / ST candidates). Those completing their final examination by June 10, 2008 may also apply. The Applicants have to register for XAT 2008- For XAT details, refer to Advertisement that has appeared in leading newspapers on Aug. 26, 2007.
Those who have done their PGP from XLRI, any IIM, MDI, FMS Delhi, or XIM Bhubaneswar, with a CQPI of at least 6.00 or equivalent are exempted from appearing in the XAT (they may also be exempted from the first year of coursework) instead of taking the XAT, FPM candidates can also submit GMAT / GRE / GATE / UGC JRF (research) results.
2. Executive Fellow Program in Management (EFPM) is a part-time doctoral level programme designed to cater to the scholarly needs of working executives / managers / faculty members / researchers.
Eligibility and Application Process:
Have a master’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline, or CA, ICWA, or CS with at least 55% marks (50% for SC / ST candidates) or BE / B. Tech degree or its equivalent with at least 60% marks (50% for SC / ST candidates); should be employed in a full-time job; and must have at least 5 years of full-time managerial / teaching / research experience as on December 31, 2007.
Areas of Specialization (for both the above programmes) are Economics; Finance, Information Systems; Marketing; Operations Management; Organizational Behavior; Personnel Management and Industrial Relations / Human Resource Management and Strategic Management. Last date for applying is 30 November 2007 for the above programmes.
